Fair Usage

At eSE, our aim is a sustainable ecosystem where as many subscribers as possible can benefit from the model edge.

What we consider unfair usage (indicative, not exhaustive):

  • Automation — using bots, scripts, auto‑clickers, or similar tools to act on alerts.
  • Acting on behalf of a bookmaker or third parties — including activity intended to move prices/lines (e.g., “moles”).
  • Single‑user instant impact — conduct that is reasonably likely to trigger the first line/price move solely due to one user’s activity before the wider subscriber base has a fair opportunity to act.

How we can monitor unfair usage:

  • We send short-notice alerts a couple of minutes before kick-off.
  • We run light-touch Fair Usage monitoring that checks timing correlations between:
    • when a subscriber opens an alert, and
    • the first bookmaker price/line move we observe on that market.

If we detect a strong correlation:

  • We’ll give you a heads-up and share high-level metrics so you can understand and attempt to reduce the correlation.
  • If it continues, we may cancel your subscription. If we cancel solely for Fair Usage reasons after prior notice, we’ll issue a pro-rata refund for the unused period.

What this is not:

  • No strategy advice. We won't advise on any betting strategy. We simply ask that you take responsibility for not being the sole cause of immediate price moves.

Fairness & context:

  • We assess patterns over time and in context. If market moves reflect normal aggregate subscriber volume (rather than a single user), we won’t take action against individuals. Every decision involves human review to avoid false positives and ensure no one is unfairly caught in the crossfire.

This change was highly requested by our Battle Gold users and helps maximise value for the majority.

All subscribers must agree to our Fair Usage Policy alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy before receiving alerts. You can read it in full here: Fair Usage Policy
